As a Wealth Manager at Sanctum, my aim is to offer bespoke solutions and expertise to my clients that would help them achieve their maximum financial potential and their goals. With more than 14 years of experience in banking and financial services, my endeavor is to provide practical insights to my clients in line with their personal needs and risk appetite. The dynamic and ever-changing financial landscape makes it imperative to design the overall financial plan with care and frequently review it in order to seize key opportunities and meet evolving needs. Prior to joining Sanctum, I worked with HSBC as a Branch Manager. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business and a master’s degree in Finance.
I started my stint at Sanctum Wealth Management as a part of the Risk and Assurance team wherein I implemented a systematic and robust risk management framework that would identify and resolve credit and market risk exposures. After setting up the risk desk and managing it for over a year, I transitioned to lead the Broking and Depository operations team and strengthen it in line with the firm’s growth plans.
As a Chartered Accountant, I have over 12 years of experience in Business Risk Management and Operations with companies such as Citibank, Kotak Securities, and National Stock Exchange.
At Sanctum every single day is about incremental learning and collaborating with colleagues and counterparties to derive the best solutions. A life motto that I live by is “All of life is the management of risk, not its elimination”.
At Sanctum Wealth Management, I head Regulatory Affairs and also oversee Legal and Company Secretarial activities. Having worked for over 13 years in the private banking and wealth management industry handling compliance, I have developed expertise in the fields of regulatory compliance, financial crime compliance, KYC & CDD, transaction monitoring & surveillance, and audit and assurance. I have previously been associated with some notable organisations like Motilal Oswal, HSBC, Barclays and BNP Paribas across regions in Asia.
I believe that the role of a ‘Compliance Officer’ has far outgrown its traditional definition of ‘somebody who meets statutory deadlines’ to ‘somebody who spreads awareness, trains employees, creates an ethical culture and advises as well as partners with the business for sustainable growth’.
At Sanctum, while following global best practices is a regular way of functioning, we also believe in providing a platform that manages risks intelligently and effectively.
